ECG participated in a county-wide food collection competition to collect canned goods for people in need.
All food collected was donated to a Simple Gesture.
This year's competition ran from November 1st to November 25th.
This effort was led by Navya through the National Honor Society and resulted in 4,105 pounds of food collected in total.
Since the Early College at Guilford collected more food than the STEM Early College at A&T, the Early College at Guilford won a cash prize.
Members of this initiative group helped with marketing (making posters, distributing flyers, and in class announcements), collecting donations, and distributing green bags.
Members of this group attended the STEAM fair at Jefferson Elementary on Novermber 9th to collect cans for the food drive.
All cans collected at ECG's Turkey Bowl on November 22nd were also donated to the food drive.
In the Spring, the Outreach Initiative Group worked as ambassadors for the school.
Ambassadors represented the Early College at Guilford at the Guilford County Schools Magnet Fair on February 5th at the Greensboro Coliseum.
Ambassadors also gave tours of the Early College of Guilford and Guilford College's campus on February 11th and February 18th.
Tour guides included Zachary Quaglia, Shivani Karanth, Anya Lawe, Paige Abbott, Fenway Donegan, Vy Bui, Sydney Berry, Katie Pelikan, Mansi Gupta, Rachel Witherspoon, Robert Kobrin, and Trinity Taylor.
